The Assistant Statistical Investigator exam is conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission for recruitment of candidates for the same. The 2015 exam is being conducted to recruit candidates for 268 available vacancies. There will be a written component and selected candidates will appear for an interview that determines the final selection. The written exam has 2 papers : Paper 1 – statistics (Degree level) (200Q – 300Marks), Paper 2 – General studies (Degree level) – (100Q – 200Marks)

Candidates should posses the following or its equivalent Qualifications.
Candidates should have completed any of the following degree
Degree in Statistics; (OR)
Any one of the following degree with Statistics as an ancillary / allied subject
Degree in Mathematics
Degree in Computer Science
Degree in Economics
Degree in Computer Applications (OR)
Any Degree with Post Graduate Degree in Operations Research/ Econometrics / Mathematical Economics.
Note:- The qualification prescribed for these posts should have been obtained by passing the required qualification in the order of studies 10th + HSC (or its equivalent)+ U.G. degree.

Computer Based Test (CBT):-
The candidate has to appear for the examination where he has been allotted to the examination. Change of centre or venue is not permitted. He has to carry the Hall Ticket (Admission Card) and same has to be produced at the examination venue. Each Candidate will be assigned a Computer to take up the examination. Candidates will be provided with a user name and password to login the system. Necessary instructions will be displayed on screen
